Jason Grady | Founder
Jason has a long history in athletics. His passion for sports began in high school and grew as he continued playing football at the next level—ultimately inspiring him to found the South Dakota Chapter of the National Football Foundation. He began his college career at Butte College, a junior college near Chico, California. After taking a year off from both school and sports, Jason received a call that brought him to Madison, South Dakota, where he played offensive tackle at Dakota State University to finish out his eligibility.
During his time at Dakota State, he was nominated for the prestigious Campbell Trophy Award, which recognizes excellence in academics, athletics, and leadership. Since that nomination, Jason has attended the annual Campbell Trophy Summit at Stanford University.
It was during one of these summits, in conversation with NFF President Steve Hatchell, that Jason learned South Dakota did not have its own chapter to support high school seniors with scholarships—an opportunity he knew he had to bring to the state.
